What to Expect During a Reiki Treatment

In a Reiki session, you will rest fully clothed on a comfortable treatment table. Through gentle, light touch or by placing hands near your body, Reiki energy is channeled to you, helping promote relaxation, healing, and balance.

Reiki works with your life force energy to restore harmony across all levels—mind, body, and spirit. This deep state of relaxation can soothe stress and support healing from within.

We’ll have time to discuss any questions or intentions before and after your session. During the treatment, however, we maintain a peaceful silence to allow for uninterrupted relaxation, unless you have a question or request.

What Will I Experience During a Reiki Treatment?

The goal is for you to feel comfortable and relaxed. During your session, you may experience sensations such as warmth, tingling, or gentle pulsing. Some people enter a calm, dream-like or meditative state, as Reiki works uniquely with each person’s energy.

After a session, you may feel the energy continuing to flow. Common experiences include a sense of peace, heightened well-being, or gentle emotional release. Occasionally, you may feel tired, which is normal as the body integrates the healing.
